GIIB Sovereign Fund Management Partner and TripleX Global to Place Decentralized Sovereign Data Nodes - with On-Device AI and POS Terminals - Inside Merchant Businesses Across Korea in a 20-Year Program to Unlock the Digital Economy

Each device is simultaneously a private AI server, a full-service payment terminal, and a sovereign infrastructure node - delivered to merchants at zero cost, generating revenue from the first transaction, across a 20-year sovereign commitment backed by GIIB's institutional capital network

PEACHTREE CORNERS, Ga., Sept. 21, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- GIIB Sovereign Fund Management, the sovereign capital coordination platform of the Global Infrastructure Investment Bank (GIIB), and TripleX Global, LLC have signed a Letter of Intent to deploy decentralized sovereign data nodes inside merchant businesses across the Republic of Korea under a 20-year, $5 billion sovereign deployment program. The agreement, co-executed by Alvin Merrifield, CEO of iYap Global, and Jaedong Yoon, CEO of GIIB, establishes Korea as the anchor deployment market for a model built to scale globally through GIIB's established sovereign and institutional relationships.

Each TripleX node placed inside a merchant location does three things simultaneously: it runs private large language model AI entirely on-device, processes every modern payment type through an integrated POS terminal, and participates in a decentralized sovereign computing network that generates independent revenue. The merchant pays nothing. The device earns from the first transaction. The commitment runs for 20 years.

"Korea's merchants are about to experience what it means to have enterprise infrastructure working for them. A device that thinks, pays, and earns — installed at zero cost, generating income from day one, committed for 20 years. This is what unlocking the digital economy looks like at the street level. Every merchant who activates a node gains AI at the counter, new revenue streams through the Business Hub, and a stake in the national computing network their community runs on. And they do it without compromising the planet. TripleX delivers all the power of AI without the environmental cost — every device runs inference locally, eliminating the energy burden of routing every query to a distant data center. We are building the digital economy our children will inherit — not at their expense." — Alvin Merrifield, CEO, iYap Global.

What Each Node Delivers to Merchants

The TripleX POS Data Node — models G5, R5, A10, and i5 — performs three merchant-facing functions from a single countertop or under-counter installation:

Private AI, On-Device. Every node runs large language model inference locally on hardware ranging from RTX 4060 with 16 GB GDDR6 to AMD Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 with a 128 GB and 126 TOPS of neural processing. Customer service, inventory intelligence, sales analytics, and business operations execute entirely within the merchant's location — no queries leave the device, no business data routes to a foreign cloud.

Rebates Against Processing Fees. Merchants receive a structured rebate against processing fees on qualifying card and digital wallet transactions — returning a defined portion of fees directly to the business from the first transaction, contractual and consistent across all accepted payment types including cryptocurrency. This is a direct rebate on the merchant's own processing costs.

Business Hub — Digital Economy Revenue Streams. The iYap Business Hub unlocks revenue channels unavailable to most small businesses: digital advertising revenue (merchants earn per impression hosting vetted campaigns through the device display network); social commerce commissions via the Yap It platform; prepaid financial services commissions on airtime, bill pay, and financial products transacted at their location; and SaaS business tools — accounting, CRM, scheduling, and compliance software delivered through the device at no additional hardware cost.

Sovereign Network Participation. Idle device capacity contributes to Korea's distributed sovereign data network — supporting national data storage, blockchain consensus, and edge computing — generating independent revenue that sustains the ecosystem, funds the Community Donor Advised Fund, and generates government tax yield without budget allocations or grant funding.

"GIIB's commitment is designed for deployments that are commercially self-sustaining and nationally significant. A device that delivers private AI, unlocks digital economy revenue streams for the merchant, and contributes to sovereign computing infrastructure — at zero cost and committed for 20 years — is precisely what our institutional network is structured to support and scale." — Jaedong Yoon, CEO, GIIB.

Korea as the Anchor — 20 Years, Merchants First

Deployment targets active merchant locations — retail businesses, restaurants, pharmacies, service providers, and convenience stores with established customer traffic. Phase 1 activates 50,000 sovereign data nodes across merchant locations in Korea. Full deployment reaches 500,000 merchant nodes across the 20-year, $5 billion program. Each activated location is a revenue-generating node from day one, creating the auditable income base that sustains the network and generates government tax yield — without dependence on budget allocations or grant funding.

The 20-year program is backed by the GIIB Sovereign Fund Management Matching Fund for Digital Infrastructure Deployment — a long-term LP and matching-fund investment framework designed to coordinate qualified sovereign and institutional capital for digital infrastructure deployments globally. GIIB's institutional credentials include advisory roles for the Korean Sovereign Funds, as well as KIND and government infrastructure programs across Mongolia, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Honduras, Colombia, Ethiopia, and Myanmar — each an existing government relationship through which the merchant-deployed TripleX model advances after Korea demonstrates the playbook.
